Bruce Swail appointed as CEO at GatesAir

Company expects smooth transition and continued strong momentum in the broadcast equipment markets, as veteran telecom executive takes the helm.

CINCINNATI — GatesAir, a global leader in wireless, over-the-air content delivery solutions for television and radio broadcasters, announced  that Phil Argyris is retiring as Chief Executive Officer. Industry veteran Bruce D. Swail has been appointed as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

 

Mr. Argyris will remain with GatesAir as long as necessary to facilitate a smooth leadership transition.  John Danner, Chairman of GatesAir and Managing Director at The Gores Group said, “We sincerely thank Phil for his nearly 14 years of leadership at the company.  Over his tenure, he helped establish a standard of innovation and excellence across the company’s product and service portfolio.”
