Viacom18 ropes in Kaltura OTT TV to power its digital VOD service VOOT

Mumbai, India and New York, NY – Kaltura has announced it is powering Viacom18’s newly launched digital VOD service VOOT. The ad-supported video streaming service was launched with close to 17,000 hours of domestic and international content including the flagship Hindi GEC-Colors, Nick, MTV India among others. Viacom18 is a joint venture between Viacom Inc. and India’s Network 18.

Kaltura as a OTT TV platform is known for its flexibility, scalability and quick time-to-market. Kaltura OTT TV also offers Viacom18 the option to add additional advanced monetization options across all major platforms and devices in the future. Viacom18 will also leverage Kaltura’s market leading Universal DRM solution
