IKinema expands Japanese presence with Square Enix license agreement

The deal between the two companies will see IKinema’s RunTime middleware incorporated into future games.

Guildford, UK – IKinema, the leader in real-time inverse kinematics, has announced that Square Enix Co., Ltd. (Square Enix) has signed a license agreement to utilise IKinema RunTime middleware. The deal will see RunTime’s full-body IK solver incorporated into future games.

IKinema founder and CEO Alexandre Pechev said: “IKinema’s skill in delivering realism and believability in procedural animation is particularly suited to game development.
