Seoul, Korea – Asia’s leading studio CJ Entertainment, the signature film division of major media and content company CJ E&M, says that A Copy of My Mind, a first film it jointly produced with Indonesian company Lo-Fi Flicks, has been invited to the Orizzonti Competition section of the 72nd Venice International Film Festival.
A Copy of My Mind depicts a love story between a girl who works at a beauty salon and a man who makes subtitles for pirate DVDs. Directing this film, Joko Anwar wanted to make a time capsule of today’s Jakarta. The film shows how religion, social inequality, corruption, and politics are very closely embedded in one’s life in Indonesia.
