Asian filmmakers still face many challenges to reach global mainstream. Hollywood is still the leading global industry and many other areas are much more regional business. I think Asian film business can reach global audiences in specific niches. I see one interesting opportunity especially in Asia is to link films to other digital content, like games. Together they can offer totally new experience and help to reach new audiences.
What do you see as some of the main hurdles in the business of funding in this current financial climate? What needs to be done by players in the industry to help make funding more favourable?
