‘Serangoon Road’ in production at Infinite Studios

Prime-time drama is a co-production between HBO Asia and Australia's ABC TV.

SingaporeSerangoon Road, an Australia/Singapore prime-time drama co-production starring Joan Chen and Don Hany is currently in production at Infinite Studios’ 30,000 square-foot facility in Batam. In a phone interview with Asia Image, Mike Wiluan, CEO of Infinite Studios, said they have built a replica Chinatown for the 10-week shoot at their Indonesian facility.

The series is Infinite Studios’ second collaboration with HBO Asia, following the soon to be released feature film Dead Mine.

Serangoon Road is HBO Asia’s first original series, and is co-produced between HBO Asia and Australia’s ABC TV. The co-production companies participating in this series are Perth’s Great Western Entertainment and Singapore’s Infinite Studios. The financing partners include HBO Asia, ABC TV and ABC Commercial, ScreenWest, and international distributors Content Television and Digital, a division of Content Media Corporation.
