Singapore – Alvin Lee’s short film about the memoirs of an ex-convict’s mother, and Allysa Sing’s unique and refreshing take on the ancient Japanese folktale are among the biggest winners at this year’s Very Short International Film Festival (VSIFF) 2012 in Singapore.
Lee’s Timeline won the VSIFF 2012 Singapore Grand Prix Award and has been chosen by the VSIFF International Jury (based in Paris) to be screened in up to 80 cities and 15 countries.
Sing’s Crane Wife, which is also her first fashion film, meanwhile won the VSIFF 2012 Singapore Originality Award.
