Hollywood – Visual effects work on the award-winning Martin Scorsese film Hugo made use of The Foundry’s node-based compositor Nuke with stereoscopic plug-in tools from its Ocula software.
Rob Legato, Joss Williams, Ben Grossmann and Alex Henning from Pixomondo won Best Visual Effects for their work on Hugo at the 84th Annual Academy Awards. Pixomondo is an international visual effects company with a global network of studios in Berlin, Frankfurt, Munich, Stuttgart, Los Angeles, London, Shanghai, Beijing and most recently Toronto. The studio produces feature film, television and commercial visual effects. As the primary VFX vendor Pixomondo completed 800 shots for Hugo.
