WHAT TO EXPECT

BroadcastAsia returns to the Singapore Expo on 15 - 18 June with new technologies, solutions and equipment for the entire value chain, from content creation to delivery. This year’s theme, ‘Intergrating Technologies, Experiencing Content’ features new 3D and digital signage clusters as well as the latest digital and high-definition equipment and integrated workflow solutions for the broadcasting, production and post productionzindustries. Asia Image highlights key products that will be on display.

Sony OLED PVM-740 The PVM-740 is the first field display to use an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display panel with Sony’s unique Super Top Emission technology to efficiently deliver superb high contrast and vibrant color images, even in adverse lighting conditions. Incorporating a 10-bit panel driver, the 7.4-inch high-resolution portable monitor creates life-like and smootherthan- ever gradation from dark to bright portions of a scene, such as in a sunrise or sunset. Its high-contrast imagery allows the deep black of a night scene be accurately displayed without the black portion of the image being raised, even in a low-illumination edit suite. As the black color is deep, peak brightness becomes more intense and can brilliantly express sparkling town lights and stars in the night sky. Its blur-free, quick response to fast motion is perfect for sports or camera monitoring during panning and text scrolling. With its picture contrast greater than a CRT display, it is less affected by ambient light, allowing images to be viewed even in strong sunlight.
