OmniBus Systems will be revealing new versions of its OPUS content management and workflow suite; and iTX master control and playout application at BroadcastAsia 2008. The new features and capabilities strengthen OmniBus’ product offering for broadcasters working in either conventional hardware-based environments or IT-based facilities leveraging on advanced technology. OmniBus iTX provides the functions of a broadcast master control and playout chain in a single software application. At BroadcastAsia 2008, OmniBus will be showcasing the latest versions of this enterprise class solution with a range of new features, including multiple audio tracks for multi-language applications, open and closed captions, HD ingest as well as MXF and GXF support. These include OmniBus iTX Business Continuity Process (BCP), a specially configured variation of iTX designed for business continuity (disaster recovery) applications, and iTX On-Demand that simplifies the process of creating VOD material and can be used to create web-friendly files as well as HD MPEG4 files for broadband IPTV applications. The OPUS Content Management suite add-ons include OPUS SmartClient which uses Microsoft’s Silverlight technology to provide access to the OPUS system within a web browser environment, allowing operators to browse material in the system, make shot selections of key events and transfer the EDL to a craft editor directly from the desktop. The OPUS News & Sports Logging solution enables one-button-press news logging and intuitive on-screen control of live and prerecorded feeds for rapid and intuitive logging of live and recorded events. The product includes robust capabilities for recalling, sorting and accessing content across multiple systems. OmniBus Systems will be exhibiting at stand 7D4-09 (Techtel) – Hall 7 at the Singapore Expo from 17th – 20th June, 2008.
